I live in north west nj ( mountains ) yes I said mountains , we have them here - I also have a home in port leyden , which i intend on moving to soon - my girlfriend and I are very evironmentally sound , green is good -

There are many downfalls to wind turbines. I don't mind residential turbines. They don't kill the 6K bats and 2K birds that the 50 turbines studied in Martinsburg did in less than 5 months, they don't disrupt the lives and health of non participating landowners. You should see that since you live on the Plateau. The newest news is that the project is losing the Empire zone status and will only be receiving 8K a turbine instead of the 43K they counted on. They use our tax dollars to ruin our own lives. Take a look at Associated Press and search John Yancey. See how his life has changed since the turbines started running 1000 feet from his home. To top it off they have only been putting out about 16% capacity factor. These figures are available on the FERC website.
